My Cutie Girls!

Lici Sue and me - she is 7 months old now!

Miss Reyn turned 8!

What a happy, positive, fun girl this one is.

 This one has many faces:

She is a Cheltrick combo!

She likes to study you!

IT'S GREAT TO BE A GRANDMA!

First of February 2016

Attended the Open House for the Provo City Center Temple.  It's beautiful.

The wood on the inside, the wall coverings and the metal handles and door knobs are in keeping with its Tabernacle roots.  So happy they decorated it this way.  One special connection for me--My great great grandfather, Herman August Thorup, worked on the pulpit in the orginal Tabernacle and part of it that survived the fire has been included in the temple.

Visit to the chiropractor to find out I had two sprained ankles. Ouch!

Snow!

More snow!

The unofficial neighborhood snow remover.

More Fun in Arizona

After the wedding we visited the Gilbert, Arizona Temple.

In  southern Arizona this is how they landscape around churches.

Doug took us to visit Saguaro National Park.

Look past the people and look for the thousands of Saguaro on the mountain at the right.

Tons more of the Saguaro on the mountain.

At the surprise graduation party that Cindy and Doug had for Rachel, she received her GED.  She has been attending college since last fall.  Congratulations, Rach!

Eric Got Married!

Here's a few pictures from our trip to Arizona in January.  We had a wonderful time with family.
Kendall, Cindy and Doug at their home before we left for the wedding.

Mark, Marj and I just before the wedding with our buddy, Enoch.

Joy and Eric cutting the cake.

Eric and Joy with a couple from Eric's mission that drove over for the wedding.

Me and my buddy, Enoch.

Jeff and Carin's family.  My buddy, Kent, and I got to put puzzles together.

Last day before the long journey home . . . farewell to the grandchildren

Back in Greoux

Grandpa rode with the kids to the park.

James riding the dirt bike trail at the park.

James was proud of his wound.

Our last tour was to the Citadel of Sisteron.

It has a commanding view of the land all around it (90 miles from one end to the other). This view is to the south.

It has protected Provence since 1209.

Panoramic view

The view to the north.  5 March 1815--it could have stopped Napoleon, but because of his sympathizers in the town and those who didn't wan't to fight, the town welcomed him instead.

At the Pataterie in Manosque for our farewell dinner of anything potato!

Potato casserole and fries

One last look from the top of Sisteron to the road into the town below.  Sorry it ended up out of order.

Another yummy potato dish at the Pataterie.
